Word 2011 for mac plugin not working

Bottom line, no zotero icon, tab etc is showing up in Word. I tried reinstalling Zotero and installing the plugin, but no luck. Thanks for any help with this!

    Follow the manual installation instructions, but make sure you haven't changed the Startup folder location from the default (either empty or the path in those instructions) in the File Locations pane in Word.

    (Somehow the Zotero.dot file is missing from within your downloaded Zotero application, which might mean that you've set things up incorrectly, you accidentally moved the Zotero.dot out of there, or security software on your system removed the file. While the manual installation instructions have you download the file from the internet, such that it doesn't really matter, the fact that the file isn't present in the path in the above error message points to some other problem on your system.)
