i want to change a citation

I have a work already written with a bibliography that says: ... Juan Perez ... and in the following bibliography it says: J Perez, I want to leave it both as the second one, How can I do it?

    Which citation style are you using?
    Are you talking about a "footnote" when you mean "bibliography"?

    any type of citation, and i refer to a bibliography, in the end of the work, when y should list all the citations inside the text

    If this is a bibliography in a single citation style, that would suggest the data in Zotero (or stored in the document) are different for the two items. The same citation style would not print the same author formatted differently.

    so, i have to modify de autor metadata?

    when i open mi zotero, the two papers wich i cite are whit correct metadata, but in the text still the diferents names (s something and something something) ! and when i sync, the sistem tell to me that it can´t sync the something something pdf (but is already in the database or not?
