How to upload documents into online library

Hi all,

Any advice much appreciated.

I am looking for a way to upload documents into the online library. Currently I am able to create an item, and add a note but I cannot see any way to upload a file. Is the only way to do this through the stand alone platform?

Again, thanks in advance for any help on this.

    You need to set up syncing

    I have the same question - can you upload a file in the online version of the zotero library? Or is the only way to add it to the library using the desktop program and then sync with your online library?

    Yes, you've been able to upload attachments to the online library for many years. (This thread was from 2012.)

    The online library can't currently recognize the PDF and create a parent metadata item like the desktop app will, however.
