How safe is to install Better BibTeX plugin

I would like to ask if it is safe to install Better BibTeX plugin to my Zotero. If I try to install a plugin , Zotero says that I must trust the creator of plugin, so is it safe to install Better BibTeX ? Even if a plugin is not safe, can for example steal my passwords, or it is constrained to what zotero can do(since it is a plugin). Thanks for your help!

    Yes, it's safe. The BBT developer is a longtime member of the Zotero community, and BBT is used by a large number of people.
