Citations in Notes

Hi all. I downloaded Zotero to my Firefox browser a while ago. Just tonight I finally got around to actually figuring out what it is - and what it can do. I must say that I am impressed. It looks like what I have been looking for as I begin work in a doctoral program!
One question. I have been a loyal user of Scholars Aid - but SA does not seem to be playing nice in Vista. One of my favorite features was the ability to create a note and then link it with a citation.
I searched for a while in these forums to see if Zotero would do the same. Could someone help me out with an answer? Can Zotero automatically pull the citation information when a note is transferred to the clipboard or the other options?

    gwoodward: you need to explain yourself better. For example, what does this critical sentence mean?

    If you're asking for something like the ability to add Zotero notes to a word-processing document and have them automatically cited, no, that's not currently supported. I have mentioned it before, though, and I hope to see it at some point.

    I do think there are more important things to attend to first, though.

    Just my opinion; I don't speak for the Zotero project.

    Bdarcus was right. I was not very clear. In the key sentence that he noted above, I was meaning to say the ability to create a note and then link it with a citation created in the library module of Scholar's Aid. Thanks for the clarification Bdarcus.

    if I have well understood what you would like to do with Zotero, there is a nice feature which allows you to create a note and insert it among the other records (bibliographic records).
    If you try to create a note for ex. by clicking on the yellow squared icon at the top of the Zotero window, you will see Related at the bottom of the window of your note (in the third panel). Clic on the line named Related and a new window will open with all you records allowing you fto select one of them (you can also add more than one link). In the corresponding bibliographic record the link to your note is automatically addedd: verify in the fifth tab of the correspondign bibliographic record (in my Italian version it is called Collegamenti; probably in the English version the name of this fifth tab is Links).
    You can also add tags to your notes as well as open them in a separate, autonomus window, which is useful for long notes because you can resize it as you like.
    And that's all.
