missing editor for meta-data

did I overlooked something or are these really missing features?
-- although the middle-window shows "Erfasser" (in German) in top-line, it does not treat "author" as "Erfasser" - so obviously there is a missing translation/correlation-table to make it "international" usable
-- with some faults ( see above) meta-tags are automaticly imported correct. Although they are store internally in a text-format, there is neither an editor for this nor the option to add/edit manually meta-infos into the predefined fields for local purposes only (without to temper original-file).
So if I did not overlooked something, ZT is documention only but not useable as a DMS

Do you mean "Ersteller"? That's the "Creator" column in the German locale. "Verfasser" (not "Erfasser") is used, possibly incorrectly, for the "Title, Creator, Year" mode label in the search bar.

I'm not totally following what you're saying here — it may be easier if you just post in German — but there's a bug in the latest version in which editors don't show up in the Creator column. That's already fixed in the latest Zotero beta and will be fixed in 5.0.81 soon.

I agree that the label "Titel, Verfasser, Jahr" is wrongly translated because "creator" includes also programmers, painters, etc. Moreover, I see now that maybe also the name in the search condition searchConditions.creator is wrongly translated as "Autor". Do you agree to change both of these labels such that creator will always been translated as "Ersteller" (with the variant "Urheber" once)? CC @adamsmith

not having looked at the strings on transifex, this sounds right given your description, yes. To me "Ersteller" does sound a bit clumsy in German, but I can't think of an equally encompassing alternative.

@mh-online wie dstillman sagt, der zweite Punkt über das editieren von Metadaten ist leider nicht zu verstehen. An sich ist das natürlich in Zotero möglich, aber auch ich kann aus der englischen Fragen nicht ganz rauslesen worum es genau geht, daher gerne nochmal auf deutsch Fragen.
