APA 7th ed. with annotations
I am no longer able to created an annotated bibliography with this style, which shows as updated on 1 Jan 2020. The citations appear correctly, but all abstracts are omitted. Has something changed? I am using the standard "Generate bibliography" command.
@bwiernik -- I think that´s a change from APA 6? Was that on purpose? I´d keep this same as before.
@denlinkd directed people to a web page: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/denlinkd/styles/aba008aa268d430778034c6fd6b0a5124b581d21/dependent/apa-annotated-bibliography-abstract-annotation.csl
Save the page (right click, "Save Page As"). Save it to a favourite downloads folder, then go to Zotero preferences -> Cite -> Click the plus sign -> Open the .csl file you saved.
This will restore an APA 6th edition style which includes abstracts. Saved my vegan bacon.
What's really odd is that no one thought to include abstracts in an APA 7th ed. style to complement the two recently added to Zotero. Librarians frequently include the abstract in bibliographies we prepare for researchers, most of whom want to see this important information. Perhaps a new 7th ed. style with abstracts could be added to the list to make life easier for many disappointed users.
Thanks to the forum for your prompt assistance.
https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=id:apa-with-abstract
prints the abstract
If that's not working you'd have to describe more details.
(So there's no need for this in your case, but "try to teach ... to install csl files" is a bit odd: If you click on any of the above links with Zotero & a browser connector installed, it will offer to install those styles just like it would from the style repository. There's really nothing to teach)
