No PDFs found with Find Available PDFs, while Save to Zotero does

Hi,

Sorry that if this has been asked before. I am trying to use the Find Available PDF to get full text for items imported from RIS. The RISs are obtained from the online pages and include DOI. The steps I follow are:

1. I selected 4 items and click Find Available PDFs, 3 of them found no PDFs, which are

https://doi.org/10.1021/acs.chemmater.7b04096
https://doi.org/10.1021/jp035521y

2. For these items, I loaded into their online page and used Save to Zotero with the Connector (Firefox). The full text PDFs were correctly imported.

Is this a bug of Find Available PDF, or an issue related to the journal online service (since these item are all ACS journals)? It will be really nice if this can be resolved.

Are you on campus when you try this? Or put differently, what is the URL as you see it when you're looking at the above articles?

"Find Available PDF" does not have access to proxy services (like EZProxy etc.) you'd use for remote authentication to paywalled resources like ACS

@adamsmith Yes I am on campus. The URL I see for the first article (pdf) is https://pubs.acs.org/doi/pdf/10.1021/cm9008943

Can you provide a Debug ID for an attempt that doesn't work?

@adamsmith @dstillman Hi, I retried just now and "Find Available PDFs" successfully get the pdf for the three failed entries. Although I don't know why, the problem is gone for now. Thank you very much for your time
