I have the problem too, to not being able to add or modify my email address. On the page mentioned above (https://www.zotero.org/settings/account) I can not add any email nor modify any email. Where can I change my “primary email address”?
If the email I am using is going to be deleted, I have no possibility to alter it in my account settings and set a new primary email address, I can only create a new account. Right?
Not right, no. As described above, you need to add and verify a new email and switch to that as the primary email. You say that you "can not add any email" -- that would be the thing that's not working properly, but you don't say what/how that's not working. What happens if you try?

You can log in using either your username or your primary email address. All account communications will go to your primary email address. You can reset your Zotero password using any verified email address.

There is no user interface/button/input field to add or modify the email, that’s why I cannot add any email ;-)
