    Does it happen in any text input mode, or only Korean?

    No. This happens from time to time.
    I usually make notes with duplicating notes and using numbered list on each note.
    When I duplicate one note, drag text and delete it using backspace, this happens unexpectedly.
    I always write in Korean.
