Style Request: the journal Bioethics
Hi there,
I tried and failed repeatedly to create a citation style that accommodates the formatting for the journal Bioethics.
EndNote has a version of the citation style, but it comes out as .ens not .csl (see EndNote's formatting: https://www.endnote.com/style_download/bioethics/ ).
Zotero has a few citation styles called Bioethics or Bioethics UPdate. Unfortunately, they are not accurate. For example, they do not use footnotes, which the journal requires.
Can someone help me create this citation style for Zotero? It's a modified version APA. Here are some examples from their webpage (see: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/page/journal/14678519/homepage/ForAuthors.html):
Books:
Council on Ethical and Judicial Affairs. (1998). Code of medical ethics: Current opinions with annotations. Chicago: American Medical Association.
Edited Books:
Held, V. (Ed.). (1995). Justice and care: essential readings in feminist ethics. Boulder, CO: Westview Press.
Chapters/Articles in Edited Books:
Held, V. (1998). Feminist transformations of moral theory. In J. Sterba, Ethics: The big questions (pp. 331–346). Malden, MA: Blackwell Publishing.
Journals:
Chervenak, F. A., & McCullough, L. B. (1985). Perinatal ethics: A practical method of analysis of obligations to mother and foetus. Obstetrics & Gynecology. 66(3), 442–446.
Newspapers:
Dyer, C., & Boseley, S. (1999, July 3). A matter of life and death. The Guardian, pp. 3.
Internet References:
National Bioethics Advisory Commission. (2001). Ethical and policy issues in international research: Clinical trials in developing countries. Retrieved from https://bioethicsarchive.georgetown.edu/nbac/pubs.html
NB: In all book/journal article/internet reference/newspaper articles, initials of the first word, words after a colon and proper nouns should be capitalised.
For references with up to 7 authors, please list all authors (use '&' before final author name). If there are 8 or more, list the first 6 and then ‘…’ followed by the final author (no ‘&’).
If anyone can help, I would be so grateful!
Charlotte

So, please disregard my initial request
Both styles actually have issues. DWB has the citations in the more correct format, but is actually missing the ibid. function.
Mistakes can happen and these styles can contain small issues that we're happy to weed out over time.
I'll work on these two styles and see if we can just get both styles aligned (they are companion journals).
Thanks for "reporting" the issue, although the crossposts into the other threads have now made this a lot more complex than it should´ve been.
