Inconsistent date format

Report ID: 1416498697

I'm adding newspaper articles so for the Date I require Day, Month and Year.

The problem is, having created many entries assuming the format is "m-d-y", I browse my collection to see some of the entries in the Info pane as "d-m-y".

You're using the en-GB locale, so for ambiguous dates it will assume d-m-y. You'll need to either adjust your locale in the Advanced prefs or fix the earlier entries.

Also, do you mean that you're creating entries manually? Because you don't want to do that unless you have no other options. When you save from supported sites in the browser, as is recommended, dates should generally be added in an unambiguous format.
  • Hej dstillman!

Can you be more specific about how to adjust the locale? I cannot find this option anywhere in the Advanced prefs. I am using Zotero on a Mac. Thx!
  • Ok...great! I changed my language within Zotero preferences to English (UK), and it seems to be showing the dates as I want them now (dd-mm-yyyy). Thanks so much!
