Please revisit the Taylor and Francis+NEJM translator and consider adding the 2-character language abbreviation to the Zotero language field. Headers to the T&F and NEJM journal articles include the following:

However, I just checked two non-English article https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/14682737.2017.1377467 + https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/00806765.2019.1586582 and there the meta tag is wrong. Do you have examples for non-English articles with correct meta tag? Or is the information anywhere else on the website given?
