Zotero bibliography not working in Google Docs

I just downloaded Zotero to use in Google Docs; I also downoalded the Chrome extension. Sadly, it does not seem to be working. I am able to add citations (if I notice the pop-up that did not pop up), but when I try to make a bibliography it buffers for a while before showing {Updating}.

    How many citations and how long have you let it run? Google docs integration can be a bit sluggish.

    I tried with 1-3 citations for a duration of an hour give or take. I even uninstalled and reinstalled zortero and rebooted my PC.
