New Item Type request: Journal Issue

I am aware of several instances in which linguistics journals have guest editors with a themed volume, often a collection of items with two or three editors. These types of publications need to be cited with the "theme" as the title and the editors as editor, while still also including the journal title and issue number.
This is important for three reasons: a) citing the Journal Issue as a whole and b) listing the themed volume as a publication by the editors, and c) [related to a], for authors of chapters or papers in the issue to refer to the entire issue, such as: In XYZ. Smith and Jones, eds.
I have not been able to find any option in the "item type" list which will include both the name of the themed volume AND the name of the journal in title-level formatting, reserving quotes (or other formatting, depending on style) for the article-level texts themselves.
Please help! I already have four such items in my Zotero list and can find no logical way to cite them consistently, with desired formatting.
THANK YOU!
