Manually move linked files for sync?
I have a zotero database with a large number of external links to PDFs (which are stored in their own folder in my Documents folder in Windows Vista). If my file structure is exactly the same on a second computer, is it possible to manually copy the repository folder from the first to the second computer, prior to using Zotero's sync for the zotero database? (ie., instead of using a webDAV server?) Should the sync then produce a working version of zotero on the second computer, with links intact?
In a related question--is it acceptable to have zotero open, and automatically syncing, on two computers at once, eg., if a laptop is open to zotero and work is being done on a desktop (but not simultaneously on the laptop)?
Many thanks for any advice and help.

This is an old discussion that has not been active in a long time. Instead of commenting here, you should start a new discussion. If you think the content of this discussion is still relevant, you can link to it from your new discussion.
But yes, having identical zotero.sqlite files should retain these links.
Re. sync on multiple machines, yes:
