    Do you have active citations in the document? (That is, do they turn gray when you click on them, and can you toggle field codes and see code? If not, you (or someone else) may have saved your document in a format other than .docx, which would've broken all active citations.

    Thanks so much for your help. I do not have active citations. It is weired that it is in .docx and it just suddenly become so when I writting. Is there any method to repair this?

    This is pretty much always caused by the file being saved in another format, run through Google Docs, etc. Just editing it in Word and using the plugin wouldn't break the citations. It's also possible you accidentally used the Unlink Citations button in the plugin.

    In any case, if they're flattened now, I'm afraid the best you can do is restore from a backup of the document or reinsert the citations.
