Citation Style APA 6th Edition

Why is Zotero having a hard time using APA 6th edition "Parenthetical Format" for citation text? It keeps including author's first name or initials in the parenthetical citation text which is not correct. I also don't think the digital references for in-text citations is correct either. Can anyone help or do I have to manually format?
  • For the author initials, it is likely https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/given_name_disambiguation

It is correct APA style to add initials or first names if there are multiple authors with the same last name. As described at the link above, if it’s happening for the same author, you have stored the author differently across the items in your library (e.g., sometimes with the whole first name, sometimes with just initials). Ensure that you always store names consistently in your library.

I don’t know what you mean by “I also don't think the digital references for in-text citations is correct either.” What do you think is incorrect? I can assure you that the APA style for Zotero/CSL is extremely carefully tested to follow the manual very closely.
