Lost subcollection

Hi, Thank you for your help in the past. For no apparent reason a sub-collection in 'My Library' entitled 'Books' is no longer appearing. All the book entries still seem to be on Zotero if I look in the general 'My Library' but I cant seem to find the sub-collection. I have looked through every other sub-collection on my data base (in case I moved it somehow by mistake) but to no avail. I would very much appreciate your help as this is a crucial sub collection for my research. Warm regards Karen

    Did you accidentally drag it into another collection?

    About How many total collections and sub collections do you have? 10? 100? 1000?

    @ktwig2: You can use https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/collections_containing_an_item on one of the items to verify that the collection isn't somewhere else in your library.

    If you deleted it by mistake, you can try restoring from one of the last automatic backups.

    Thank you both for taking the time to respond and your suggestions. To my great relief when I turned Zotero on this morning (australian time) the 'book' sub collection had reappeared. Still do not know exactly what happened but grateful that it has resolved. Thank you again.
