Chrome extensions does not work with Google Docs

Hi
When I select the optoin to add a citation to google docs I am asked for the citations syle (I chose APA)) and then I get an errror message that says that Zotero fields cannot be inserted here.

I enabled logging and got the following Debug error number D1581793953

    Can you insert a citation in a completely new document?

    Yes I can.

    I added 3 and then a bibliography and then a fourth which was automatically added to the biblio.

    I still cannot add them in my original documents.

    Make sure you are not trying to insert a citation in a hyperlink. Does it not work no matter where you try inserting in this document? If you press Ctrl-K in google docs, do you get a prompt to insert a link that is empty?
