2. Description:
Platform: Ubuntu 18.04
Zotero Version: 5.0.66

After the "Importing from the Clipboard", the notification "Import Complete" just stays on screen and appears in all the windows of all the applications of the Ubuntu desktop. It is annoying when something is just in the middle of the screen and disturbs other work.
  • If you really mean 5.0.55, that's pretty old. Start by updating to 5.0.66. A bug that could cause this was fixed last October.
  • Sorry, it was my typing mistake. It is 5.0.66
  • Can you provide a Debug ID (different from a Report ID) for an import that does this?
  • Could you please tell me how can I obtain it?
  • I linked to instructions.
  • D789621410
  • This is working for me on Ubuntu.

    Just to be clarify, did the popup stay open when you generated that Debug ID?

    Would you mind sharing the BibTeX you're importing that's triggering the hang, either here or in an email to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread?
  • Could I also get a copy?
  • Neither BBT nor the BBT translators are installed.
  • Is still prefer to have a copy, if it's a problem for the regular import it may well be a problem for bbt
  • Yes, the popup stayed open when I generated the Debud ID
  • The bibtex that I imported is pasted below:

    @inproceedings{Wiegand2019,
    title = {Detection of abusive language: The problem of biased datasets},
    author = {Michael Wiegand and Josef Ruppenhofer and Thomas Kleinbauer},
    year = {2019},
    date = {2019-06-03},
    booktitle = {Proceedings of the 2019 Annual Conference of the North American Chapter of the Association for Computational Linguistics},
    address = {June 2-7, 2019, Minneapolis, USA},
    note = {to appear},
    keywords = {},
    pubstate = {published},
    tppubtype = {inproceedings}
    }
