export only notes

Hi,

I am sorry for posting the topic if it has already been answered. I was looking for if there is an option in Zotero to export only the notes attached to an item (or a set of items) without having the other details of item(s) in an xml file.
Waiting for an early response.

    is possible by selecting just the note (ctrl click) and then use the export option -
    no xml, though, I wouldn't know that Zotero exports to xml (does it?)

    thanx very much for ure reply but i think i need to explain my case in a bit more detail...i have too many items in a collection and with each item there are too many notes attached...now instead of selecting all the notes myself (by righ-click) i m looking for an option that will export all the notes of all the items without items being exported. (All the items with their notes can be selected by CTRL A, but when exporting i m looking for an option that removes the items from the selected list)...as far as xml is concerned, its ok if i get an rdf file

    sorry, meant to include that in my answer - afaik that's not possible at the moment.

    To select notes only, create a saved search for item type=note. Select the saved search, then type control-A to select notes only. Then export as Zotero RDF. You'll export notes only but they will be entirely divorced from their parents--not sure if that's what you want. If you create a report from selection you'll get at least source titles with the notes.

    By the way, if you right-click on this saved search and select "export" the file will contain parent items as well, which seems like a bug.
