Trouble syncing PDF files across devices
Report ID: 928991058
On Computer B, when I double-click on a PDF file uploaded from Computer A, I get an error message that says "file not found - the attached file could not be found - It may have been moved or deleted outside of Zotero, or, if the file was added on another computer, it may not yet have been synced to zotero.org." When this first started happening, I checked my storage capacity, and I had maxed out at 100%. I deleted a large portion of my library in the hopes that clearing up storage capacity would solve the problem, but I still get the same error. When I check my storage capacity, it says I'm still at 100%, even though I deleted many files. I also emptied my trash, and I still get the same error
Steps to reproduce:
1. Click on folder "RS8444" in left pane
2. Click on the drop-down icon next to "Microbreweries, place, and identity in the United States"
3. Double-click on the "schnellandreese2014.pdf" file
4. Error message described above pops up

adamsmithIt sounds like you're simply still at your storage quota and either you're deleting items that aren't currently synced or you're deleting items and storage is filled up by others. I assume that's the free 300MB tier? How many items with PDFs, roughly, are in your library? 300MB only covers a pretty small library, rarely more than 200-300 items.

smendelsAh, gotcha. I was at 288 in the library - now I'm down to 200. I'll see if that re-enables syncing, or if I need to just buy more storage. Thanks!

smendelsIt's still not working - is there any reason it would fail to sync files I saved during the period of time when my storage was full, once I've deleted a bunch, if I had managed to bring my capacity back below the limit? Just want to make sure I'm still over before I make the next move.

adamsmithIf the problem is that you're over the storage quota, you'd receive an error on sync telling you that. If files aren't syncing without an explicit error, that's not due to the quota.
