Old folders not purging? -- solved

After an abortive attempt to import from endnote, I have tried to "purge deleted storage files" and to "purge orphaned storage files". But when I look in my storage folder, there are still many folders which have copies of the PDFs, etc.

How to eliminate?

    My bad! I had only placed the entries in the trash, but had not 'emptied' the trash. Once done, the folders were eliminated.
