No syncing icon present 1746326025

Hi

Netbook has installed but not syncing and no icon. I exported files to dropbox and loaded to desktop.... no problem and has synced to platform.
I uninstalled and re-installed on netbook. It has all the old data still (I changed 1 file name in cloud)... still no sync icon. I was expecting to be given the option to log in and choose sync but this didn't happen. What now??

  • I'm not really following this. Can you take a screenshot of what you're describing, upload it somewhere (e.g., Dropbox, imgur), and provide a link here? If this is a small screen, it's possible the Zotero window is just going off the right-hand side of the screen or you need to shrink the three panes.

    Also, what do you mean by "exported files to dropbox"? Do you mean that you copied the Zotero data directory or that you used Zotero's export function? You definitely don't want to use the latter if you're trying to sync your computers, since you'll end up with duplicates.

  • I've fixed thanks. I had to uninstall.... And clear all files (which doesn't happen automatically) and reinstall to get the 'do you want to sync' prompt. I used Dropbox to export the data and load on the desktop first so I could uninstall netbook/clear files without losing data... Which worked fine... is now syncing and I have no duplicates.
