The only modification i see from the already available 'Springer Vancouve (brackets) style'
is this request:

All authors should be quoted for papers with up to six authors; for papers with more than six authors, list the first three followed by ‘et al.’.

thank you
  • Springer uses standard citation styles for its journals. You can likely safely use the existing Springer Vancouver style without any modifications.

@bwiernik If I am not mistaken, the "Springer - Vancouver (brackets)" style lists the first six authors followed by 'et al.', not the first three.
  • bwiernik, like poettli said, it is not exactly as they request.
after 6 authors I need only 3 listed before the 'et al'

I would greatly appreciate it, if this modification could be made
    thank you
  • Yes, I understand that. What I am saying is that I don’t think you need to be concerned about that—Springer journals are quite inconsistent with their stated author guidelines, but do typically accept papers submitted using the existing Springer CSL styles. Unless you receive specific guidance from an editor or the publisher to change the format, I would just leave it as is.
  • hi bwiernik,
I gave your answer to my PI, but she insists to go exactly as instructed..
Is there a possibility to modify the style accordingly? (or else I would have to do it manually)
  • @damnation Could you make this adjustment?
