2082033586 (Cannot export collection with attachments)

Hi,

I need to export my collection (including subcollection categories, attachments) into a Zotero file for another user to open it in another computer. However, I've been trying for hours now and checking some other discussions in the forum but the solutions (disabling extensions, updating the software, etc.) doesn't seem to work. I'm more adept to EndNote so this is my first time using the software.

Thanks for the help!

Could you generate a Debug ID (different from a Report ID) for an export attempt that triggers this?
  • The easiest method for sharing is to use a Group library. Otherwise, export to Zotero RDF.
  • Hi dstillman,

This is the Debug ID: D587781193. Thanks!
  • Could you try exporting in halves until you (hopefully) identify the single item that's triggering this? (In other words, if one half succeeds, try the other half, and then the failing half of that, and so on. It should only take a small number of attempts to find the item in question.) Once you find the item, you can either post the title here or, if you prefer, email it to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread.
  • I am unable to determine the cause. However, if I do export the collection only using journal articles (with lesser pages in the attachments), then there is no problem. I tried this with the books (who have bigger attachments, sometimes multiple), then the export just goes on forever. Is there any other alternative, like a backdoor where I can share the collection to another Zotero user?
  • What do you mean by "unable to determine the cause"? Did you try exporting in successively smaller halves?
