Style Error: [Journal of the Biological Linnean Society]
Hello could you help me,
The CSL style for Journal of the Biological Linnean Society have two slight errors:
In the text et al from more than 3 authors instead of 3.
example:
adaptation, rapid evolutionary changes may occur (Berthon, 2015) (Mooney & Cleland, 2001); (Strauss, Lau, & Carroll, 2006); (Sax et al., 2007); (Stuart et al., 2014).
In the references, et al instead of the complete list of authors
example:
Bates D, Mächler M, Bolker B, et al. 2014. Fitting linear mixed-effects models using lme4. arXiv preprint arXiv:1406.5823.
Bennett PM, Owens IPF, Nussey D, et al. 2005. Mechanisms of extinction in birds: phylogeny, ecology and threats. In: Phylogeny and Conservation. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 317.
Thanks in advance for your help

I'm basing on the referees comments and for instance a recent (linked) issue of this Journal.

I've just pushed an update to the style that, following the journal's guidelines, will list up to three authors the first time an item is cited (and the go to et al for 3 or more authors on subsequent cites). That will become available shortly.
But when I use the current CSL it doesn't work like this.
For instance for this ref:
(Stuart et al., 2014) [in the text, I've fixed the issue in the CSL style]
Stuart, Y.E., Campbell, T.S., Hohenlohe, P.A., Reynolds, R.G., Revell, L.J. & Losos, J.B. (2014). Rapid evolution of a native species following invasion by a congener. Science 346, 463–466.
In Bibliography, i get this:
Stuart YE, Campbell TS, Hohenlohe PA, et al. 2014. Rapid evolution of a native species following invasion by a congener. Science 346: 463–466.
Cheers

It works.
For the in text citation... " following the journal's guidelines, will list up to three authors the first time an item is cited (and the go to et al for 3 or more authors on subsequent cites)"? I didn't find this rule in the (rather short) Journal's guidelines, may be it was in the reference styles for Endnote or reference manager??
Anyway thanks a lot for your help. My life has changed since I use Zotero

I stick to the rule.
