Upgrade StorageFile duplicates are not recognized as such ("merge" doesn't appear)

I use MacOS and work with group libraries in zotero. When I go to "duplicate items", some files which are obviously duplicates, are not recognized as such. Hence Zotero doesn't automatically suggest to "merge", it becomes way too much manual work. Filex for ex have the same name (and the same type) and are listed next to each other.

adamsmithDo you actually mean files or do you mean Zotero items (which may have files attached). The former I don't even think are checked on whether they are duplicates. If this is about the latter, could you produce an APA style citation for an example that should be detected as duplicate and post it here?
