Zotero cannot access login info
Report ID: 1617287985
My computer recently died, and the data had to be transferred to a new hard drive.
My Zotero data seems to have been preserved, but when I open the application, I get the Error message below--and I cannot follow the instructions because those files do not seem to exist on my computer.
I would reinstall Zotero, but my computer apparently last synced to Zotero.org a year ago--I'm not sure why--and I am concerned that I would lose the more recent Zotero data on my hard drive.
Error Message:
Zotero cannot access your login information, possibly due to a corrupted Zotero logins database.
Close Zotero, remove cert8.db, key3.db, and logins.json from your Zotero profile directory, and re-enter your Zotero login information in the Sync pane of the Zotero preferences.

adamsmithThose files must be on your computer -- have you found the Zotero profile directory?
-
dstillman@Scoblic: See Zotero profile directory. Note that this is different from your Zotero data directory.

ScoblicAh, files found and removed. All seems to be working now. Thanks so much for your help!
