Adding pages of references?

I was using the Zotero add-on for Google Docs and pressed the 'refresh' button. Instead of refreshing it added 20 pages of the same references and crashed my computer. Why would it do this? How do I prevent it from happening again?

    Adding that now it adds tons of copies of the bibliography every time I add an in-text citation.

    What citation style are you using? Did you get duplicates of in-text citations, or just the bibliography?
