Initial sync problem to local WebDAV server

Using the 2.0b4 version of Zotero.

We have set up a local server with WebDAV and are able to connect to our folder shares and read/write files OK to the share outside of the Zotero plug-in.

Upon trying to "Verify Server", the plug-in successfully realizes there isn't a zotero folder, creates one, then loses all ability to connect to the URL ("The storage server did not accept the username and password you entered. Please check your storage settings or contact your server administrator"). If I go and delete the zotero folder on the server I can never get it to even go back to the stage where it checks to see if there's a zotero folder and creates one.

Checking the IIS logs on the server, I've noticed that the first time it does successfully send over a user name to create the zotero folder and on all subsequent connections it just doesn't send the user name anymore-- it does send a request just without any credentials.

Any idea what's going on? Thanks in advance.
  • Have you tried restarting firefox? There are some known issues re. WebDAV credentials.

When the zotero subdirectrory is created on your IIS server, are you able to write to it from other WebDAV programs using your same credentials? I believe it is possible to create directories that you cannot actually write to.
  • Yup have tried restarting Firefox.

And yes, I've been able to write to the folder via Internet Explorer using the same credentials.
