Sync Error: "Cannot make changes to Library"

Hey everyone,

I tried to use the new sync feature. The first syncing was fine and libraries from my Zotero groups were received, but a second sync (I guess some kind of fast sync will be performed then) isn't working. I tried a reset, which worked in both directions, but another sync failed again.

Error message:

Sync with Zotero Server
Last error: Cannot make changes to Library (Report ID: 297598c6)
-----------------------

Any ideas?

    Something similar here, cannot sync but no error messages...

    You see error messages when you point to the sync symbol in the upper right corner of zotero (green error, has yellow sign when errors occured).

    Hi - having to ask this on behalf of my partner as she's getting the same error

    report id 641529770

    I'm wondering if this is anything to do with Groups - she's a member of a group I set up but doesn't have admin rights and when I was trying to reset, her Zotero threw up a load of duplicate items that only exist in the Group library - which of course she can't edit.

    She's running Windows XP firefox 3.5 Zotero 2.0b5,r4570

    I'll give her admin rights to the group, see if that fixes the problem.

    Well that seemed to work. Will change her permissions back and see if the problem reoccurs.
