No Zotero Icon in Web address bar

Hi. I have tried all of the troubleshooting and nothing has worked. I am running Firefox 3.0.10 and just updated to Zotero 2.0b4. One thought is that I have Symantec AntiVirus and I'm wondering if the problem is associated with that.

I have tried a regular news site as well as an academic journal site and neither work:

http://nytimes.com/

Thanks for any help!
  • You've tried a New York Times article, I take it, and not just the front page? Have you disabled all your other Firefox extensions?
  • Note that the article link you gave is also not what you'd use a translator on (because it is a PDF). I assume that you tried http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.ecolecon.2009.02.017 (e.g. one of the html pages about the article).
  • Ok, so I'm obviously new to this...Things are working better now. Thank you. When I put the html page in Zotero, will I be able to access it when I am not online?
  • And what about links for google books? Example:

    http://books.google.com/books?hl=en&lr=&id=VSqg1rvjz3EC&oi=fnd&pg=PA3&dq=social+network+mapping&ots=Vu53OhYmVT&sig=Tuf7wC7TXDhPaaxnQtb-GshsDl8#PPR12,M1
  • nevermind. got it!
