exporting annotations from pdf to word via zotfile but then not have citations as hyperlink

I hope someone can help me:-) I just installed zotfile and have managed to extract annotations from a pdf successfully and can also copy and paste them into word. However, the citation is just a hyperlink back to the pdf. Is there a way to change this to a grey marked citation field linked to the library as are manually inserted citations? Since it is all within Zotero that must be possible somehow?

    The only way to create Word fields with active citations is via the Word plugin. (Note that this isn't "all within Zotero" — the Word plugin runs within Word, which is how it's able to create Word fields.)
