Can zotero scan a folder for new pdfs and add them to a library?

Hi,
Can Zotero (Like picassa) be set up to scan a folder for newly added pdfs and add them to your library?

    No. But these are possible:
    - drag/drop PDFs in to Zotero and it will get the metadata and attach the PDF to the new item
    - have Zotfile attach the latest PDF from user designated folder to an item in Zotero
