Zotero no longer auto linking articles to the library

Hello, I have Chrome Connector downloaded to my laptop, but Zotero no longer shows an icon on my laptop to upload articles/documents to my Zotero library. What do I need to do to bring the auto upload feature back? Thank you, SherryE

    This may or may not help, but: I'm using Firefox, and I noticed that the "Z" icon had recently disappeared. It turned out that the Zotero link is still there, but the icon now looks like the Windows calculator icon instead of Zotero's Z.

    @ernietamminga: That's a misunderstanding. The Z has been gone (in up-to-date versions) since the switch from Zotero 4 for Firefox to the standalone Zotero 5 in summer 2017. The remaining icon is just the Zotero Connector's save button, which is the same as the save button that always appeared in Zotero for Firefox and that changes based on what's available to save on the page. (I don't know what you mean by "calculator icon", but it would just be one of the available item types, which you should be able to see when you save the item to Zotero.) In any case, all of that is likely irrelevant for SherryEdwards, who is using Chrome.
