quotation format on the text that follows...

Hello,
I have a problem that I can not solve simply. When I insert a reference in LibreOffice, it happens that the text typed after the reference remains in quotation format (to avoid it, it is necessary to type two spaces and to insert the quotation before the second but I often forget) . So, if I want to insert another quote later in the text, it's impossible. Is there any way to remove the quotation format from the text that follows? The only way I found was to erase and retype my text...
I don't know if I'm clear... Thank you in advance for your lights

    I’m not following. Can you give a specific example of exactly what happens? What do you mean by “quotation”!

    (If a language other than English is easier, please feel free to use that.)

    I think this might be the issue with LibreOffice extending the Reference Mark if you continue typing. I thought that was fixed. Which version of LibreOffice?

    Thanks for your feedbacks.I think adamsmith got it. If I'm writing on LibreOffice, and I call for a Zotero reference, the reference appears in parentheses, but then, when I continue to write, the following text is considered to be part of the reference. If I want to introduce another reference, I am asked to modify the previous one. If I ever say ok and introduce my new reference, it is the first one that is modified (x lines above). The only correct way to proceed is to introduce the reference inside a text, at least by adding a space, and not at its end.
    The LibreOffice version is 6.0.6.2 for Mac OS X 10.11.6 (I had the same problem with OpenOffice before).

    PS : actually I wrote in french in a previous message but nobody answered. And even in native language it's not easy to explain.

    Yeah, so the only way I know to address this manually is, after the first reference, press return for a new line, then space, then use the arrow key to go back one space, press backspace, then press the forward key to go forward one space, and you're now no longer in the reference mark.

    @mpv71 are you storing citations in the document as Reference Marks or Bookmarks? You can check this in the Document Preferences found in the Zotero toolbar in LibreOffice. Bookmarks tend to be more easy to accidentally extend than Reference Marks and we recommend using Reference Marks in LibreOffice, unless you cannot avoid it.

    @adomasven Thanks for that clarification. Apparently yes the citations are stored as reference marks.
