New referencing format
Hello, I was asked by a journal to provide referencing according to The Chicago Manual of Style (16th edn) however, this format when implemented on my document does not correspond to the instructions they give. They've indicated the instructions as follows:
"Bibliographic citations are provided in short endnotes (under the heading Notes), supplemented by a bibliography (under the heading Bibliography) which includes all works cited in the notes. Each note only contains the last name of the author(s), a shortened title if the title is more than four words, and the relevant page or pages: 1. Smith and Jones, Style Manual, 45. 2. Khan, “Chapter Title,” 69."
Thank you in advance,
Maissam

adamsmithThat looks like this to me: https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=id:chicago-note-bibliography-16th-edition

msnimerThank you for your help! Yes, this seems to suit, however, when I apply it to my document the notes appear to be in roman numbers. Can that be changed?

adamsmithThe number format for footnotes&endnotes is a Word setting. If you google your specific Word version with something like "footnotes roman numerals" you'll find instructions on how to change the numbering between arabic and roman numerals.

msnimerThat was very useful! Thank you very much, it worked.
