Upgrade Storageerror 1624614891: please restart firefox upon upgrade to 2.0b4 from 1.5

I've been having sync problems on other machines (see, for example, http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/7076/sync-fails-on-20b3-osx/#Item_6), but I thought maybe if I upgraded all my machines to 2.0b4 it might help.
On my intel imac with 10.5, I tried to do the upgrade, but upon firefox starting and clicking the zotero button to open the zotero window, after a second I got a message that said, "An error has occurred, please restart Firefox" in the central zotero pane.
Any suggestions?

dstillmanDoes this still occur if you turn off auto-sync and/or file syncing in the Sync pane of the Zotero prefs?
