Query- updating in-text citations in docs when migrating from Mendeley

Hi,

I am migrating from Mendeley to Zotero and have imported my references with no problems.

I have some documents with a lot of Mendeley references in that I now need to convert to Zotero. Is there an automated way of doing this or do I need to update them all manually?

    I think (!) Zotero is able to recognize Mendeley references in documents, but if you need to update the content of those references (e.g., fix a title or an author's name), the only way to do so would be to delete the reference and re-insert from Zotero.

    It looks like Zotero is picking up the references for the bibliography and that is all I need for now. Will have a closer look at a later date.
