basic question about syncing (from online to local library)

Hi there, I haven't used Zotero in a long time. When I log into my online account, I see all the data I have once inserted. When I open (the freshly downloaded) Zotero application on my Mac, it looks like a yet empty, never used library. Thus, I would like to sync my online library with the one on my harddisc. However, it seems like the preferences only offer me the option to make my online library look like the app on my hard disc, which I really don't want to, as I would lose all gathered data. Does anyone know how to simply download all the data I can see online into my local library? Many thanks!

    Just using regular sync, i.e. putting in your log-in information and setting up sync without touching any of the "Reset" options, will do that.
