Drop and Drag Functionality

Since sync preview, I have not been able to drag and drop my citations into the author and date format I was once able to do with the "shift key". Has something happen to this function. All I see now is a link after the drop is complete. Has the keys changed. I have tried changing the export citation selections but have not been able to get it to do anything differently.

Please help!

    still works for me.
    What operating system are you on?
    Also - have you made sure your default export style (gear menu - preferences - export) is an author date style?

    Sorry about this. It works. I was capturing something on pubmed and I guess it must have captured the link without the data of the author. Subsequently, I have went to the site of the actual article and clicked on the icon in the URL field instead of using the camera and this worked better.

    I am using Windows XP with zotero 2.0b4 with Firefox 3.0.10 (just updated)

    as a note - if you click on something in the zotero bar (the camera isn't there anymore,but e.g. "Create Item from this page" - you never capture the author - the page is saved as a webpage with the title that's displayed on top of your Firefox.
    So whenever possible (i.e. whenever it's there) use the item in the URL bar.
