Download Zotfile

I want to download Zotfile from http://zotfile.com but I get the message that the file is damaged and therefore can not be installed. Any recomondations?

    What exactly are you doing to download the file? You want to right-click on the Download button at the page you link to (which leads to this address: https://github.com/jlegewie/zotfile/releases/download/v5.0.8/zotfile-5.0.8-fx.xpi) and choose "Save Link As". Then, in Zotero, click Tools → Add-ons and drag the downloaded .xpi file to the window that pops up.

    I click the Download button but I do not reach the page you link to. I am told that Firefox prevented the website to ask if software should be installed on my computer. the I click "allow", then a download process is being started and then I get the message, that I mentioned before about the damaged file...

    Right, but that's not what bwiernik said you should do. You want to _right-click_ the download button and use save link as.
