Sync error :1358877810

Just filed an error under this ID.

When Zotero starts it attempts to sync for about 5-10 seconds. I then get the mac swirling rainbow circle of doom and then an exclamation mark error in Zotero. The error message reads:

Invalid response from server (Report ID: 0d90705bd9)

I have tried restarting Zotero and restarting the machine - same problem.

I have been getting sync errors intermittently for a time now but generally, if I try enough times then eventually it works. Now it will not sync despite repeated attempts.

I am on a work network in the office and everything else is connecting fine. I have a large library (3993 items and a number of groups (admin for all of them)), in case that is relevant.
  • Upgrade to Zotero 5.
  • Ah. How embarrassing that I have been using an old version for a year whilst at the same time snapping at students who complain that they can't figure out how to install Zotero. The upgrade has sorted it. Thanks.
