Zotero (and firefox) freezes when I modify author name

I never noticed this before upgrading to from 1.0 to 2.0. Basically any time I try to modify one of the author's names, Firefox completely freezes up for maybe 2-5 minutes. During this time I can see the mem usage slowly increase in task manager.

I only have about 300 items in my library... is this something I can expect to get worse as my library expands, or is this just some bug?

    1) Disable all your other Firefox extensions to make sure there's not a conflict of some sort.

    2) Restart Firefox, reproduce the problem, and, if Report Errors under the gear menu is active, send in an error report and post the Report ID here.
