Error starting Zotero

My database is empty but I am unable to start Zotero.

    Your database is corrupted. Is this a new database? Do you have your Zotero data directory in the standard location or in some sort of cloud storage folder or network share?

    And is this a new installation, or have you used Zotero before?

    If there's no existing data, you simply delete the Zotero data directory and restart Zotero, but it would be very strange to get this for a new installation (or any installation, unless the data directory was previously in Dropbox or similar).

    I have deleted this and I have restarted the process of trying to import 22000 references from endnote (using an XML file). Endnote is so error-prone at present that this has not been an easy process. Thank you very much for your help with this!
