Make a pdf a "parent" item (Linux specific?)
I'm pretty sure I used to be able to do this, but it's not working now:
I have a couple of snapshots of pdfs - i.e. a meaningless parent item with an attached pdf.
I would like to retrieve metadata for those and would like to follow noksagt's advice
here: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/6685/pdf-metadata/
to "move them from their parent webpage entry so that they are top-level items instead of attachments".
Alas - no matter where I drag them - between items in the center panel, to folders on the left panel, to the end of the list of items in the center panel - I cannot get the pdf to turn into a stand-alone or parent item.
Is there another way?
Is this Linux specific?
Is this a new issue or is that part of the whole range of Linux d&d issues?
(ubuntu 9.04, FF 3.0.10, Zt 2.0b3
