Using "Paste" in a zotero citation in Word 07 (win) crashes Word

As I understand it, the correct way to enter a page range - say pages 235-239 is with an endash rather than a hyphen. Because the zotero citation window inside Word will not recognise the macro I've created for an endash and won't auto correct space_hyphen_space I have tried copying an endash and pasting it in. This has alerted me to another problem. Whenever I use the paste (ctrl V) function at all in a zotero citation, Word crashes.
