Setup WebDAV *without* Zotero account
For institutional reasons I am not allowed to use Zotero.org sync or any cloud WebDAV server. I can make a local WebDAV server.
The portion of the sync GUI that allows you to connect to a WebDAV server is not even shown unless you have a zotero account and it is verified. That looks like a bug to me.
(I think this is new with the no-longer-integrated-into-firefox version)
(Also, is there even any way to ask questions without having a zotero account?)

dstillmanIt's not a bug. File syncing still requires use of Zotero servers for data syncing. That's always been the case — 5.0 just hides the file syncing section until you set up data syncing to make that clear. No, this is where all support happens.
